Initial Impressions
TechHosting’s sign up procedure is short and simple. At the end of it you are presented with an option to “Instant Activate” with an automated call to your supplied phone number. Since I had left a voicemail number I did not know how that would work out, so I decided against “Instant Activate”
I waited to receive a phone call or email notification and neither arrived after two days. From TechHosting’s main page I tried my login information and instantly logged into my new hosting account (maybe my initial welcome email was spam filtered).
The control panel is industry standard cPanel. cPanel loaded very fast and was very responsive and snappy. Following the 3 step process, I installed Wordpress through Fantastico. Clicking the admin link brought up the site’s Wordpress administration backend.
5 minutes from first login to working blog. Impressive so far.
